254 Know all men by these presents that I Joshua Clarke Clerk of Cohasset engage in the boundaries of the State of Rhode Island and in consideration of the sum of seven hundred dollars paid to me by Gideon Gorton and Abby G. Giffin for which sumwell i do hereby acknowledge receipt and to have given quiet possession and by these presents do remise release and forever quit claim unto the said Gideon G. Gorton and Abby G. Giffin their Heirs and Assigns forever all my right to all the following described property given and granted whereas I now have of me right only to have revenue of and to possess within fully title of piece of land lying in said Cohassetly part the first will be from a post in the first fence line of said village properly owned and held by Samuel Moore the lot of George the second fence line of said village properly owned and held by James Duncan Sherman and said fence line East until it reaches the first fence line of said village properly owned and held by Samuel Moore Eastward then North West by the lot who first piece south fence line extending east to a stone pile right angle over more or less than ten rods the same runs east in March land and continues east north westerly more or less over ten rods the same bounded South by piece of land belonging to Henry White North by piece of land belonging to Gorton's part on the North East both by some wall post the said lot is bounded on the North by the remaining lot extending river more or less than ten rods In the North East corner post John P. Saunders on the north side by said Saunders and on the East by Gorton and on the West by lot props S. Day the lot is further described as boundary it run East by lot estimation both ways more or less and boundaries as follows part first Joshua Clarke's land then runs south easterly run by stones Wall East lot Gorton's part bounded North & East by Gideon Gorton's lot bounded South by Brown Bridges road on the north side of town boundary & North Party said piece further described as lying interior to the said Gorton's lot for this piece is a rectangular section part of the above described premises and we state of our one hundred seventh part to said Gideon & Giffin I do here and to hold the same with all the right hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto appertaining to them the said Gorton to possess and said Abby G. Giffin their heirs and assigns forever Have I Hannah Clark wife of the aforesaid Joshua Clark in consideration of the same amount and said husband in coupling witness and forever quitclaim to said Gorton to possess and said Abby G. Giffin their heirs and assigns forever all my right of home to the same free void and quitclaimed In witness whereof we have hereunto our hands set our seals this 15th day of October in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and eighty eight executed made before signing Signed sealed and delivered In presence of William Palmer Oliver J.
