Whereas the General Assembly of the State of Rhode Island at this June Session 1849 authorized Caleb Stanton profile Stanton and and Thomas Stanton members of the Corporation called State of Providence to sell their portions of a certain lot of Land lying within Charlestown in said State with a dwelling house on it and have thereon permanently belonging to Henry Stanton deceased also to a neighboring farmstead and to separate and convey titles thereof also to a neighboring farmstead and to separate and convey titles thereof Now therefore now therefore now then that I Joseph Stanton by the authority of the appoint- sees and said by virtue of a Power of Attorney given to me by Caleb Stanton and wife and others at a certain time in the town of Providence in the State of Rhode Island on the 24th day of September 1850 authorizing and empowering me to sell the right and title in said land and to separate and deliver a deed to me to sell his right and title in said land and to separate and deliver a deed of the same I am now whereas considering some of the sum of one hundred dollars state had by me Thomas Stanton’s brother and other persons the receipt whereof I acknowledge
