M Hopkinson on the 31st day of January 1849 personally appeared Charles D Peckham, subscriber, sealer of the foregoing Instrument, and acknowledged the same to be his free act and deed. Before me, Chris L. Lewis, Townclerk. Recorded april 21st 1849 p 334 by William H. Terry Clerk. Know all men by these presents that we Daniel S. Peckham and William P. Arnold of North Kingstown, county of Washington and s of Rhode Island, for and in consideration of the sum of three thousand and certain Dollars to be paid by Robert D Peckham an and William K Peckham of North Kingstown, county of Washing ton and state aforesaid, the receipt whereof we do hereby acknow edge having received, released, and forever quit claimed, and by these presents do remise release and forever quit claim unto them the said Robert D Peckham and William K Peckham, t their heirs and assigns forever, all the right title interest per tains and claim we have or right to have a right of entry to a claim in and to a certain tract of land lying in Charlestown aforesaid containing by estimation 111 acres, both, the same name a lot, and the Arnold estate in land ly ing between western and eastern boundaries, southerly on lands of Philip Peckham, westerly on lands of Peter Peckham and easterly on lands of Phi lip Peckham and Daniel Peckham and northerly on the road Daniel S Peckham's land To Have and to hold the same with all the rights pri vileges appertaining thereof and the premises appertaining to them the said Robert D Peckham and William K Peckham, t their heirs and assigns forever. And we the aforementioned Daniel S Peckham and William P. Arnold for our dwelling and for our heirs executors and ad ministrators, do covenant unto the said Robert D Peckham an and William K Peckham, their heirs and assigns, that we w ill warrant and defend the above described premises, to the said granting their heirs and assigns forever, against the lawful claims and demands of all heirs claiming o title through, or under us. And I Margaret S. Peckham, wife of the said Daniel S and Amy Arnold, wife of the said William P. in con sideration of above written, do hereby quit claim all our right o dower in and to the lands granted premises unto the said Robert D Peckham and William K Peckham and the their and assigns forever.
