Stanton in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal at Charlestown aforesaid in this 8th day of January in the year 1844 Signed, sealed and delivered in presence of George A. Stanton (S.S.) Catharine D. Stanton (S.S.) Josiah H. Stanton George W. Stanton State of Rhode Island Washington Co. before me Notary public appear the aforesaid George A. Stanton and Catharine D. Stanton his wife and acknowledged the within Instrument to be their voluntary act and deed and had thereunto affixed their seals [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] officiant Presence Jan 8th 1844 By John Stanton Clerk Whereas We undersigned Wm H. Scribner of the City of New York merchant together with the [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] annex the term of Seven years from this date until thirty years hence agree to appoint as Agent at Law in the State of Rhode Island to agree and settle a Dispute at Law in the State of Rhode Island between the [illegible] [illegible] and the [illegible] [illegible] of the Town of North Smith in the County of Providence and elsewhere and for this purpose we have appointed as proxy in conference Mr. [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] Scribner and Dennis White to act for us for the purpose named above in peace and concord the said act for which purpose we have named and set us as patrons with all due care to do some things of prudence and set out whereas the said Daniel White of the same city and his estate will proceed to the said power proxy the above naming formerly to do all things now by these presents we the said parties have made constituted and appointed him our attorney and agent to act and stand in our behalf by virtue of this appointment our attorney and agent for us and in our name some parts from and in every Agency and regret for us in all things pure and in both Law and manner speaks and convey or sell some thing as the said robot reduced accordance as he may think proper as the said robot reduced accordance as aforesaid and all my right interests and interests therein and whereas and the right and the interest and right to the premises which belongs to the said Daniel White as aforesaid at length in my own right and in my company city and power sufficient as aforesaid can sell reduce and convey the said land and also for the purpose aforesaid in any manner or otherwise to sell land and any my and any possessory right and any other of convey sale agreement and any other act of convey and act to action on the day the said [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] and conformances are and whatever then my said attorney may do and conformances on the premises and accordance to the above Attorney's sole conveyance hereby confirm and ratify all my city and power however hereby confirm In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the tenth day of June in the year one thousand eight hundred and forty four in Salem mass and avenue in presence of Wm H.
