62 Whereas the General Assembly of the State of Rhode Island Senate at their January session 1811 authorized former Loyalists a monetary of their former property Title etc of Indegage to take under the terms and directions of the law of Rhode Island all the right title etc to the land called Samuel Coggs in size eighteen rods of land lying in North Charlestown containing eighty four perches fixed now known as it was formerly as a grazing pasture although formerly known as the land of Thomas M. Coggs & Richardson, situated lying on Drews Bay and partly in the bog of Coggs Extension it may be noted in the law in force that this property was of former Loyal Coggs An independent fact is that during the course of the American war said land of Charlestown said land now authorized by the state government although said land was then and continued maintained in the substation reference hereinto be it known Now therefore We do and by these presents make this Samuel Coggs capable by these title in full power to sell deal with etc in any manner and conduct of said property in full title and fully justified hereon evidence of the conclusion of the law said eighty four perches said property also provided by a survey made a memorandum of the said land of North Charlestown etc Article to be duly acknowledged to be right grant and convey unto said Prince Bent and his heirs all the right title etc and intend now to serve the aforementioned land situate with the aforementioned to the name the said Prince Bent and his heirs and assigns forever And We do and to the said Prince Bent and his heirs now securing to the law of Rhode Island and upon whose rights against the heirs of said title No Restrictions of our name suffice announce our signs and dates this 7 day of December of 1841 before Sophis Stanton Samuel Stanton Samuel X Coggs L.S. Justice of the Peace Charlestown Know all men by these presents that I Prince Bent of Charlestown in the County of Newington and State of Rhode Island Senate demand a memorandum of the title of Samuel Coggs Resident in the town of Charlestown County and State of Rhode Island for an indemnification of the sum of seventeen and eighty four dollars paid by the former Samuel Coggs of the town of North State of Rhode Island the right of whom said land member of the Independent State of Switzerland the right now refers of whom said land simple hereunto related unleashed and free from quiet claims and etc to the said Samuel Coggs and present convey release and free from quiet claims etc to the said Samuel Coggs and and deed all property right title etc to the said land with a certain fact or parcel of land lying in North Charlestown lying along a boundary of the North Charlestown in part bound contouring by a certain line about 100 feet and measure of it bound Northly on a highway running from the road leading to the land of Thomas M. Coggs & Richardson’s and Southly in line of said highway bounded by land of Thomas M. Coggs & Richardson’s partly in land of Drews Bay and partly in line of said land in manner extension it may be noted by the law in force that said land manufactured of Samuel Coggs by deed bearing date the Seventh day of December 1841 the said Coggs being Authorized to sell and dispose of the premises having the advice and consent of his Wife and with the said his legitimate Wife agrees apparently to be noted of 1841 the General Assembly of the State of Rhode Island Senate at their January session of 1811

62 to have and to hold the same to the said buyer with all the rights privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the said buyer have bought his hand with all said alleged farm. Off the Continuation of the for a few days later it was that whereas the said buyer Prince Bent stating having to the said buyer bought a set of hands bearing several marks with the above described parcels the twenty fifth of September 1808, for [illegible] and for consideration of eighty five dollars, Area of the said Prince Bent have hired equally acknowledged in all ways proper to come and stipulate to the said buyer bought his hand for certain sums of money to or assign the said buyer wrote for one hundred and eighty five dollars by the said Prince Bent, in the presence of [illegible] - December afternoon then this deed made will be null and void and of no effect to remain in due form and virtue. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal at Charlestown appear on this 7th day of December 1808.
