488 In witness w[her]eof I have Pursuant set my Hand and seal this 5th day of March 1839 Witness Dan Wong Joshua P. Clark (L.S) Stanford Raynor State of Rhode Island Washington Co. Charleston March 5 1839 On this day personally Came to me Dan Wong and Joshua P. Clark known and known to be the persons within instrument and acknowledged the same to be his free and voluntary act Recorded March 4th 1839 Dan Wong Joshua P. Clark By John Stanton S.C. Know all men by these presents That I Joshua Clarke of Charlestown in the County of Washington Co in Consideration of the sum of One Hundred Dollars to me paid by Nathaniel Shiffield and Stanton to pay the both of said Considerations the full value of which I do hereby Acknowledge to have given grant sell and convey unto said Nathaniel Shiffield and Stanton forever One certain part of my certain undivided right or parcel of Land containing by Estimation one hundred and fifty rods more or less of bounded North on land of Stanton Northwly on land of Joseph R. Accumson and eastern Nathaniel Shiffields Easterly on Edward Wolcott's land South easterly on Sula P. Baker's house land or boundary This my Dame name may be known as it has been that part of the said North Stanton's forge that was conveyed to me and by date from Samuel Hooper the same and held said Tangible and Intangible without The Privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said Stanton N. Perry and Nathaniel Shiffield during the term of thousand lines or the life of the longest liver and I said Joshua Clarke for myself heir Executors and Administrators do agree with said Nathaniel Shiffield & Stanton N. Perry that I am lawfully seized in fee simple of my simple and will warrant and defend this dame against the claims of all persons.
