Know all men by these Presents that I Jonathan Chapple of Charlestown County of Washington and state of Rhode Island & Prov. for the Consideration of ten dollars and good will which it shall be to my memory, to the Honorable Chapple of the County and state aforesaid, namely Anne Bente, Bargain and Convey unto the said Thomas Chapple for and during the term of his natural life the whole of a certain lot of Land lying in said Charlestown together with the East half of a dwelling House and land ing on the Land and is bounded as follows Easterly on a highway by land westerly, and on Southerly, on land of William Kenyon containing about ten acres and Eighty rods. I have also agreed to let the aforesaid on half of said house 4 cows during the term of the life of the said Thomas Chapple.
